Stay tuned for Beach Volleyball for Charity Summer 2017!

Recovery Without Walls (RWW) is hosting its Third Annual Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament in the summer 0f 2017 in Falmouth.

Unlike most single-focus charity events, this tournament will not only benefit RWW, but will also help 20 other Falmouth/Cape based charities. Teams will play for one of 20 non-profit organizations. There will be a pool of money set aside so that all recipient charities will receive a financial prize. “By opening this tournament to many non-profit groups, we believe we can foster an added excitement and energy and facilitate opportunities for organizations to learn about each other and potentially partner together, stated Bill Dougherty, RWW Director and event organizer. “This event celebrates the wonderful spirit of voluntarism in Falmouth and on the Cape,” Dougherty added. He is urging the community to come out and support their favorite non-profit, in a fun-filled, outdoor event.

Details of the Event

There will be five courts, twenty teams and three divisions: open women, Falmouth/Cape families and Falmouth/Cape business.

Each team will play for a charity of their choice; some of the recipient charities are: Samaritans, Compassionate Cares ALS, Neighborhood Falmouth, Team Maureen, Cape Cod Center for Women, Falmouth Military Support Group, Together We Can, Audible Local Ledger, Wings for Falmouth Families, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and the Falmouth Service Center.

The day will offer easy viewing of the courts; organizers urge spectators to bring their own seating. A delicious barbecue and cash bar will be offered by the Sea Crest; no food or outside beverages will be permitted. Fundraising will include a gift raffle and 50/50 raffle.

Sponsorship Opportunities are available. Please contact Bill Dougherty at 774-392-4180 or 508-540-5867.
